About this Cook
I love to cook and I love food!!
My favorite things to cook
Oh My Gosh ~ just way too much to mention here. What can I say? We love food, GOOD FOOD. I will take the time to find the right ingredients for a recipe. I am not one to substitute ingredients, unless it is absolutely necessary. "IF" I had to mention one or two FAVORITES - I would say Homemade Pizza, right down to the sauce and crust. And the other would be cooking with beer or wine and adding to sauces for pasta or soups & stews or just about anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up in a Sicilian household, I find that holding on to those family traditions are as important as making new family traditions. Sicilian foods are not as well known as your typical Italian foods. I love to seek recipes from that region of the country.
My cooking triumphs
Pizza ~ Homemade of course
My cooking tragedies
Biscuits ~ Nuff Said

Awesome Ham Pasta Salad
This is AWESOME just like the recipe says. I had just a few changes to this salad....I added a handful of frozen peas and some fresh broccoli to the list of ingredients and cut back on the sweet pickles. It came out perfect. Thanks for sharing your great salad.

Potato-Topped Chili Loaf
Delicious!! Only thing I would do different next time (and there will be many next times) is to add more seasoning to the meatloaf. Otherwise, this was a huge hit. Wonderful meal by itself.

Cheesy Onion Focaccia
Fantastic recipe.......I love all kinds of focaccia and this one is tops. I also made mine by hand and it turned out perfect. I didn't have parmesan cheese so I used Asiago and boy was that a good choice. This is a keeper ~ thanks for sharing a great recipe.
