G-ma's Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
This rice is yummy. This was my first time making Mexican rice, and being such a big Mexican food fan, I'm impressed with this recipe. I didn't really measure any of my spices/ salt/ pepper, and I added some green bell pepper. Thanks for the recipe.

Snickerdoodle Cake I

Reviewed: May 3, 2007
You have to make this cake. It is yummy! I wasn't expecting it to be so good. It's a moist cake, and the topping goes great with it. Try it, and I think you'll like it too. I don't remember if it called for vanilla, but I put a lot because I love vanilla; I also put some almond flavor in it. While I was eating an individual serving, I made a glaze and spooned that over it as well.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
This recipe was wonderful! The batter was too thick for me at first, so I added a little more milk, so that instead of 1/2 cup, it was more like 3/4-1 cup. I suggest adding milk to desired consistency. The cake was moist and was nothing like cornbread. I made cupcakes and added buttercream frosting, and it was exactly what I was looking for. Simple, yummy recipe! I plan to use this recipe again. Edit to add: Use plenty of vanilla and/or lemon flavoring.
