I am a mother of two, and step-mother of two. I cook most family holidays for my family and my husbands family. I like making pies, cookies, cakes, breads, quick breads, and candies of all kinds. I also am known in my family for making decadent cheesecakes. I have won prizes at the State fair level for my pies. I once cooked a turkey for my sister-in-law, and forgot to take out the neck and giblets because I couldn't find them stuffed in the neck cavity of the turkey. She took the turkey to a family gathering, and when they were carving it, found the giblets still in the bag in the neck cavity. They all had a good laugh about that.
