Really loved this soup, and I am not a big soup lover. Really flavorful and robust - loved the egg trick! Thanks for the recipe. By the way, half the recipe will go easily for 6 portions.

Yes, good recipe, but I gave it a 4 because I too made some changes. I used blanched fresh green beans, and sauteed the onions and fresh mushrooms with the ground beef. I added some cheddar cheese to the mashed potatoes. I also put some garlic powder in the meat mixture, next time I'll use fresh. Two of us ate the whole thing ! Thank you !

Great Bread - thank you. I too used Cocoa powder because I didn't have the squares. The powder and shortening worked fine. This is a keeper - I will make again and again.
