My Mom got me started on this site, and now I'm hooked - who needs any more cookbooks! Growing up involved a lot of great food, as my Mom's a great cook (but I know that she got that from Grandma). And since I love to eat I quickly learned to love to cook almost as much. I love to bake, and cookies have always been a favourite. As a kid, who doesn't love Christmas, but it was as much about the food as the gifts and gathering together. A bunch of appetizers together made Christmas Eve's dinner or Christmas lunch depending on the given year, and also a huge selection of cookies. Now I make many of the same appy's and cookies for a Christmas party with our friends, using many of those same family recipes.
