About this Cook
I am really not much of a cook, but rather I love to bake. I tend to search for tried and true recipes and may tweak them a bit to my liking.
My favorite things to cook
I have such a sweet tooth: cookies, cakes, muffins -- any dessert in general.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was in high school and college, every winter break my grandma and I would make dozens of Christmas cut out cookies. We would spend one day baking them all and the next day decorating them. I really miss those days.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime someone compliments something I made. :O)
My cooking tragedies
I made this cherry cobbler once to bring to a work pot luck, and as I was taking it out of the oven, the top of the pan hit the oven and toppled over into the bottom of the HOT oven. Lets just say it was a bit messy! (at least it went into the oven instead of on my bare feet -- a lesson learned!)

Burrito Pie
i used 1 pound of ground turkey in place of the beef and omitted the olives and chili peppers. i took the suggestion of happywife05 and used 2 tortillas per layer instead of one. end result was delicious with enough left over to freeze. will definitely make again and maybe add some corn to the mixture.

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes
these are delicious cupcakes with a perfect blend of spices. based on other reviews i did use 1 and 3/4 cup of pumpkin. the frosting is incredible with a hint of cinnamon (would be excellent on cinnamon rolls)!

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies
wow! i never thought i would find a chocolate chip cookie recipe that would rival the one i have been using for years. i may go so far as to say this may become my recipe of choice! the only change i made was to increase the oven temp to 350 and i baked them for 15 minutes. YUM!
