My dream job is teach other people about cooking. I am a cooking show junkie. I would love to cook elaborate gormet meals every day but my life just doesn't allow for that. I come from a German/Bohemian family. My great-grandmother used to do all of the holiday cooking when she became too old we had a long drought of non-tradional holidays. When I was in high school, a few years before she passed, I got all of her recipes. Now I'm in charge of making the giblets and rice and the saurkraut and dumplings. For my husband's birthday we went out to the fanciest Italian resturant in our town. There I had chicken oscar, it was fabulous. I decided I would make it myself. I went home and purely from memory recreated the dish. Christmas 2005 I was trying to make some herb & cheese spritz cookies for a dinner party I was going to. I had never used this cookie press before so at first I thought I had something assembled incorrectly. I emptied the tube and took it all apart, put back together again, refilled the tube, still no luck. Then I thought perhaps my dough is too stiff. So I tried thinning it out by adding more milk. So now the sticky dough still isn't working. I got so frustrated I ended up throwing all of the dough and the cookie press away.
