This section is entitled "A little about me". I'm 6'5" and weigh 240 lbs.
There is nothing little about me.
But if I think of something later I
will post it. I thought of it ! My
intellect. I cannot understand how there are so many "experts" on line. Particularly those who have been cooking for 5 yrs or less. And the ones who really are above me are the ones who try the spaghetti sauce and
write in "I did not have mushrooms so I substituted green beans and was out
of onions so I used bananas and instead
of tomato sauce I tried evaporated milk,
and for some reason, this recipe just didn't work for me. Duh..... Please.
try the recipe and rate it. If you want to try to improve it by all means do so, but rate THE RECIPE and then make your recommendations. Because, if
you never try the original recipe, you
are merely rating your own recipe, and
if you think it stinks..... again, DUH!
I pray I never become an "expert".
My favorite things to cook
Anything not involving cannabalism....
but then again, given enough of the
right kind of salsa.......
My favorite family cooking traditions
My father liked the heat. I swear he
would have put habanero sauce on the
communion wafer if they would have let
him. Like father like son. I love it
when my tongue is on fire and my nose
is running, but I don't feel like I
have it right until my ears start
ringing.
My cooking triumphs
I haven't burned down the house.
Yet.
My cooking tragedies
It has to be the GGM. The first meal
I cooked for my wife to be was
meatloaf. To this day I have no idea
what happened, but when I took it
out of the oven, the meatloaf was, in
a word, GREEN! Hence, the GGM, the Great
Green Meatloaf. We decided not to eat
it. When it cooled we gave it to her
dog. He concurred. He wouldn't eat
it, either. Oh, the wife2b had a great laugh. So, I took my lady out to a nice restaurant for a nice meal and
she forgave me. I, on the other hand,
never forgave that &^%$ dog.
