I am a private forester for our county. I have gotten into gardening and canning to reduce food costs for our family. Also because I try to use as much organic stuff as I can.
My favorite things to cook
Baking breads and desserts is a favorite pastime. We raise our own chickens for meat and eggs. My husband hunts deer, so vension is used instead of beef in most recipes.

My grandma's molassess cut-out cookies are a must have for Christmas for our extended family.
