Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Made this appetizer for our crock pot themed gourmet group dinner. Everyone wanted the recipe. My granddaughter loved the leftovers and requested I make it at Thanksgiving. Very good and easy.

Wonderful. Followed the recipe except for using frozen green beans. Will be a go to recipe from now on.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Add another five star rating from me. The only "from scratch" cornbread I'll be making from now on.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
This is definitely a 5 star recipe! Superb! I used kosher salt and added a little more than a teaspoon. On one batch I drizzled first with milk chocolate and then with white chocolate. Looked like it came from a gourmet candy shop! I also baked it in my Nesco roaster set at 250 for about an hour, stirring every 15 minutes. A lot easier than using cookie sheets when stirring, and turned out just as good.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

These had a great flavor and texture, but mine were flatter than I expected and did not have that nice, "crinkly" top as shown in the photo. Any idea what I did wrong?

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I give this 4 stars, but my husband would probably say 5. He doesn't even like salmon all that much and asked for seconds, calling the meal great. I thought it had maybe a bit too much lime flavor, so I might cut down on the zest next time, but it did give the dish a nice, fresh taste.

Chocolate Pecan Pie III

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I've made this pie twice now, and my husband just loves it. I added all the pecans at once, and because I didn't really want a chocolate pie, halved the cocoa. Just the right hint of chocolate flavor and color. Thanks for such a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I rate this recipe 4 stars, but my husband would give it 10. He LOVED it. I added milk until I got a desired consistency (too thick without it) and next time I might add some broccoli florets. I will make this again and recommend it to friends.

Maple Salmon

What a great way to get your Omega 3's! Easy and so tasty. My husband doesn't even like salmon and he asked for seconds. Next time, I'll omit the garlic salt as the soy sauce adds all the salt you need. I also basted the filets with the sauce halfway through the coooking time. Thanks for sharing this fantastic recipe!

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2007
This cake is FANTASTIC!! Omitted the raisins, baked it in a 13X9 pan for 45 minutes, and topped it off with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. This is the only carrot cake recipe I'll use from now on. My husband's favorite!
