After searching around for a recipe that I had all the ingredients for, I decided to give this a try as a test for the KitchenAid mixer ice cream bowl + attachments that a friend loaned me. I was skeptical about the corn syrup, but the flavor of this coming out of the freezer bowl was really tasty. Like other reviewers, I reserved some the berries and just rough-chopped them and tossed them in at the end to add a textural element. Fabulous!

Easy and tasty. Wonderful combination of flavors. I took the suggestions of other reviewers and added some celery and some shredded cheddar cheese. I also used green onion in place of 1/2 of the onion. Some additional seasonings also thrown in: a little bit of rosemary, some celery salt, and garlic salt. This soup thickens nicely as some of the potatoes dissolve when cooking...very nice texture. Perfect "cold weather food." I garnished with chives.

Served this on cucumber slices for a "garden cucumber fest" at my office. Very tasty. I also tried it with smoked salmon...lent an almost bacon-y flavor to the dip. Thanks for a creative recipe.
