About this Cook
I live in Athens with my family and work for one of the biggest companies in Greece dealing with clothing. I have a daughter 22 years old who is a university student.
My favorite things to cook
Cooking is for me a way to relax after a hard day at work. It's also a way to please my family and friends. I love to cook Italian dishes, as my husband is Italian, pies, traditional Greek foods as pastitsio, moussaka etc. I like also to experiment with Indian, Mexican or Chinese recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I think, as for most of Greeks, Easter Day is the major tradition in my family.
My cooking triumphs
Many triumphs since I cook for many years. The more recent one was the recent New Year's Eve when I cooked for 40 people friends and family and they all loved my stuffed turkey.
My cooking tragedies
I think that I had some when I was young but now I really don't remember.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto
We love this Risotto and I cook it often. I think that 4 cups of broth would be fine in order to get the right consistency.

Greek Pasta Salad I
This is very good. I used 1 clove fresh garlic instead of garlic powder, white balsamic vinegar and left out the peperoni as not used in greek salads.

Alfredo Blue
Very good recipe. Here are the alterations that I've made. I used 1 tbsp butter, 3 cloves garlic that I left in, 1 tbsp fresh parsley instead of Italian seasoning, 1/4 c white wine and while the sauce was simmering, I added 1 tsp of flour to thicken it juast a bit. I served it on top of the pasta with additional parmesan cheese. Next time I will add some fresh mushrooms. Thank you for the recipe.
