I tried this recipe because I was trying to recreate the granola that a chef I used to work for made at her B&B. This was an Excellent place to start. I use cashews instead of walnuts (walnuts to bitter for me), I also add coconut slices, pepitas, and 1 tsp flax seeds (for 1/3 recipe) instead of oat bran. It just isn't possible to buy granola any where near this good. It is not supposed to be a Diet food! :)
