Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

I thought this stuffing could have used about half as much sausage. It felt pretty heavy. But it was quite delicious, even still! I will definitely make this again - just cut back on the sausage.

Rum Sauce

Pretty good, but I thought it needed about twice as much rum. I like a little bite to my rum sauce, not just a hint of the flavor.

Baked Buffalo Wings

I LUV buffalo wings, and I hate how much wing shops charge for them. I was super excited to find a recipe for them so I don't have to pay 3x as much at a shop. I don't recommend putting them in the fridge after coating them. Otherwise, excellent recipe.

Blonde Brownies I

I'm at ~5000ft in Denver so I need to cut down on the oil, add a little more flour,etc. I haven't optimized the high altitude version yet - but I'm sure once I do these will be excellent! Not the author's fault for the recipe not working perfectly at altitude. :)

Roasted Pork Loin

I would not recommend stuffing the paste into the meat. For me it left pockets of really bitter herb-ness in the meat. Had to scrape it off/out of the slices for it to be edible. I cooked a 1.4lb loin roast in a covered dish at 320 for about 1hr with a little wine drizzled over the top. Next time I'm going to try skipping the wine entirely and put apple slices in the bottom of the dish about 15min before the roast is done. Going to trade thyme for rosemary also. The only good thing about this as is was that the meat was pretty tender.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

I thought this was awesome. I usually hate rice-a-roni side dishes, but I thought orzo by itself was fantastic. I agree that you could cut down on the butter and it would still be great. Our basil plants were going berserk so we were looking for recipes that needed fresh basil.

Megan's Granola

I tried this recipe because I was trying to recreate the granola that a chef I used to work for made at her B&B. This was an Excellent place to start. I use cashews instead of walnuts (walnuts to bitter for me), I also add coconut slices, pepitas, and 1 tsp flax seeds (for 1/3 recipe) instead of oat bran. It just isn't possible to buy granola any where near this good. It is not supposed to be a Diet food! :)
