Fantastic! I used Kahlua liqueur for the coffee flavored liqueur. Like many of the previous reviewers, I doubled the Kahlua everywhere in called for, except in the frosting I used 3T. I made two coffee-flavored layers for the cake, and used about 1/4 cup of the instant coffee for a more intense flavor/color contrast. The chocolate shavings were much easier to make than I thought, and looked so pretty on top of the cake I didn't even have to use the cocoa power for more garnish. I used toothpicks to make the holes when saturating the cake with the coffee/Kahlua mixture-the toothpicks worked out just fine. It took a lot longer to assemble than I anticipated though because the layers took long to cool. Overall a easy (if time consuming) recipe! Two people asked me for the recipe when I served it!
