Cheesy Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
I don't know how others cook, but I adapt every recipe I try to the tastebuds of my family!! So, for those of you who said it was bland, season it with what your family likes (just an idea)!! Ok, so I chopped my onions and cooked them in the pan where I sauteed the chicken, added a can of cream of mushroom soup, green chiles, velveeta, shredded cheddar cheese and cooked until cheese was melted. Put the rice on the bottom, then the egg mixture, followed by the soup mixture then shredded cheese on top. I seasoned the chicken breast and egg and soup mixture with garlic and onion powder, alpine seasoning, pepper and cajun seasoning. This turned out fantastic and of course, my family loved it!!!! I baked it for about 40 minutes, mmmmm!!!!

Strawberry Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
FANTASTIC!!! I have made this twice now, the first time I followed the recipe exactly except I substituted 1/2 c. applesauce for 1/2 c. of butter, a substitute I always make. I took it to work and my co-workers loved it, even the picky doctor I work for. The second time, I used frozen raspberries and sliced fresh peaches, wonderful!! The cake is so moist!! Oh yeah, I also add some cinnamon to the crumb topping and in top of the fruit!! Thanks for the recipe, definately a keeper:)

This was pretty good, I added some parsley, black pepper, garlic, and italian seasoning to the mixture. Next time, I am going to saute the ham, onion, and broccoli in some olive oil before adding the mixture to the ring for better flavor!! Thanks for the post!!

Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
This was a fantastic recipe!! I followed the recipe pretty closely, but had to make a few changes: I used 2 jars Bertolli Alfredo sauce, next time I will add a 3rd, (personal preference), I added chopped broccoli and spinach, baked 4 chicken breasts in the oven then shredded and placed in vegetable mixture, added mozz. cheese into roll ups and on top, also added shredded parmesean cheese on top of dish also, outstanding!!! I got rave reviews from my family!! (I have a picky 2 year old, so I rolled chicken and both cheeses up, and put them into the dish with others, she ate the whole roll up!!!:)Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
I made this tonight and it was FANTASTIC!! I loved the flavors. I pretty much followed the recipe with these exceptions: I fried bacon, then crumbled it and added it with the cheese. I sauteed the potatoes in the bacon drippings for about 5 minutes before adding the potatoes to the boiling cx broth. (I left out the celery and onion to satisfy picky eater) I used around 4 1/2 cups of potatoes and only boiled them for about 16-18 minutes as mushy potatoes aren't my favorite. I added 1 can corn and 1 can cream corn with the chiles and used 1 c. cream and 1c. milk mixed with the country gravy and 1/2 block reg. velveeta cheese diced up as I have a 2 year old and didn't want it too spicy, absolutey wonderful, Thanks so much for recipe!! I will be making it again and taking it to work for the ladies in my office to try!! Thanks Again:)

Almond Crunch

I have made this recipe for years for the holidays, **one tip for a richer toffee flavor, use BROWN sugar instead of white**, the flavor from the brown sugar way exceeds the original recipe.

Quick Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
I love Red Lobster Biscuits so I was excited to see the great reviews!! I added garlic salt in with the biscuit mix and the melted butter, you definately need to add the garlic to the biscuit itself!! I cooked them on the very top rack and in 10 minutes, had great biscuits to pair with my homemade chicken noodle soup, thanks for the recipe, it's a keeper!!!!

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2007
This was great, even my 2 year old ate it. I didn't have crescent rolls so I pressed buttermilk biscuits as the bottom crust and cut the leftover biscuits into tiny squares and sprinkled them on top, what a great presentation. Had a good flavor but next time I will saute green peppers with the sausage and serve it with homemade milk gravy, Yuuummmm..Thanks for the recipe

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2007
Great recipe, just for you out there that are health conscience, I omitted the butter and it was still great, there's enough fat from the drippings without adding more!! I took the advice of another and just wisked the milk and flour together in a bowl then poured it right into the pan with the sausage, YUMMY, Thanks for the recipe:)

Peaches 'N' Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
I was a little skeptical making a recipe without any reviews, these were ok but need some adjustments. I will make these again but definately beat the cream cheese into the batter, biting into a bitter chunk of cream cheese really wakes up the tasters. I will also add some brown sugar and increase cinnamon as these were kind of blah. After I make these again I will be back:)

Shredded French Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
Awesome and easy recipe:) I made a roast for lunch and it was too tough so I threw it into a crockpot with all of the ingredients except the Fr.Onion condensed soup as I did not have any, so I just added a 1/2 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix with 1 can of H2O and 6 hours later, I had wonderful French Dip sandwiches. (the meat was finally tender) I took the advice of some others and toasted the steak rolls and that was perfect, THANKS!!! Next time I will saute some mushrooms and put some cheese on them also!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
