I had learned to cook from my Grandmother who's cooking was way to declious ! I use one of her cook books from the early 60s for her old fashioned recipes. almost anything old fashioned no matter how many steps IF I am cooking for more than one. Though if just for myself or 2 I DO find short cuts. an apple cheesecake that came out PERFECT which had a caramel topping. LOL I was only 12. It was the no baked cookies. I had forgotten to add in a few ingredients and it was simply NASTY ! My Mom had gone to do an errand and had said "Diane, NO cooking !" So I figured this wasn't really cooking. LOL ! So since my brother wanted cookies and I had goofed I MADE him Eat the goopy mess ! LOL To this day he STILL says how bad I cook no matter how GREAT it comes out. LOL Family !
