If you follow this recipe as written you can't go wrong! I made it the first time at Thanksgiving, and just put one in the oven for a Christmas party tomorrow! I just put a pan of water on the lower rack for moisture, there was no need to wrap in foil and place in water. No cracks, no sinking! This will be my signature dessert from now on! Thanks Chantal for making me look like a pastry chef!

Colored Sugar

What a great idea, why didn't I think of it? I had everything in the house to make my grandson's birthday cake except "sprinkles". Shook it up in a little Tupperware container, so what is left over can stay right in it! This will be perfect, and I don't have to go to the store!

Scottish Shortbread III

I cannot believe I waited until now to make shortbread cookies, and WOW! Am I glad I found this recipe! I was looking for a festive, but nut-free cookie for my allergic grandson and came across this. I followed some of the other reviewers advice, and added only 4 1/2 cups of flour, and decorated with red and green sprinkles before baking for our Christmas party. (I hope I don't eat them all before tonight!)

Carrot Pineapple Cake I

I made this cake for my husband's 60th birthday today, and got rave reviews from everybody! I did as one reviewer suggested, and added 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce, also added a packet of baking raisins. For the frosting, I added more chopped nuts and sprinkled the top with some extra coconut I had. I will DEFINITELY make this one again!
