About this Cook
I am a home maker and mother of 2 very sweet little boys. Before I had children, I worked as a hair sylist. Now I do the hair of my family and friends. I enjoy scrapbooking and card making. I love to cook.
My favorite things to cook
My very favorite thing to cook is cookies. I like to think that I am getting pretty good at it. I love to spend time in the kitchen and try new recipes. I also enjoy preparing Mexican food, pastas, and on occasion BBQ.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember spending a lot of time in the kitchen with my dear Grandma. Every Christmas we would meet at her house and she had a great breakfast prepared. Ham and Cheese Souffle is part of our most traditional meal. My very favorite, however, is simple. Grandma new how to make the best grilled cheese sandwiches and she always served them with tomato soup. I learned to love that special meal from her.
My cooking triumphs
Cookies! You should see how far I've come. My cookies used to be the flat kind where the chocolate chips were the only thing popping up. I can make some killer cookies now, and I love to do it.
My cooking tragedies
When I was still living at home, I had the bright idea to whip up a batch of biscuits. I worked hard and they came out of the oven beautiful. I served them at dinner with the rest of the meal that my mom had prepared and when everyone began spitting out their biscuits I was certainly confused as to why. I realized then that instead of making baking powder biscuits, I had made baking soda biscuits. They were horrible!

Farmer's Strata
For years our family has been making a strata for Christmas morning breakfast. I have always thought it was good, but it was not the best that it could be. I have been on a hunt to find a new, better recipe. I FOUND IT! I absolutely loved the addition of potatoes. Instead of ham, I substituted 1/2 lb. of country style sausage. I'm sure ham would be awesome as well. Thanks for a wonderful recipe. I know that we will make this a tradition in our home.

Fabulous Wet Burritos
I prepared this recipe exactly as written. We thought that they were good but didn't love them.

Peanut Butter Cup Brownies
I had terrible, aweful luck with this recipe. I followed it exactly. The darn brownie won't come out of the cupcake paper and the appearance of these things is aweful. I feel that I just wasted a lot of money on ingredients. If you want to stick a peanut butter cup into something fantastic, try the Peanut Butter Cup Cookies recipe from this site.
