About this Cook
I'm a student currently enrolled in Architectural design, and I refuse to eat all terrible things that students are supposed to eat. I play rugby, and I sprint kayak.
My favorite things to cook
Tuna Patties (from this website) Stroganoff, Salads, Shrimp skewers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Robbie Burns day my dad used to make Scotch eggs, and other traditional scottish recipes.
My cooking triumphs
I love experimenting with food, so almost every recipe ends up being a triumph for me!
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make a potato leek soup, I somehow screwed up the recipe, and ended up with sludgy looking potatoes, but it all turned out well because the potatoes ended up having a delicious leek and spices gravy on them.

Carrot Cake III
Really really good carrot cake. I modified the recipe to be more diabetic friendly, and even with the modifications it was super good. I substituted spelt flower for regular flower, and xylitol for sugar.

Chicken Pot Pie III
Absolutely loved this recipe! By far the best chicken pot pie I have ever had. Although I did add a ton of fresh vegetables as per another reviewers suggestion (onions, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, celery, etc), so I ended up with enough mixture to make two pot pies, which is excellent. I didn't blanch the vegetables, but I threw them in a pot with a bit of garlic and some oil and sauteed them for a bit. The Thyme adds a great touch, I did add some black pepper and cayanne pepper because I love it in everything. Great right when its made and just as good the next few days for leftovers. This recipe was so easy, and it was a great way for me to use up extra vegetables, as well as cream of chicken and cream of celery soups which I had in the cupboard but don't eat. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Curried Zucchini Soup
I absolutely loved this recipe. It tastes fantastic, and its easy and quick to make. Just a note for all those out there who are not veteran soup makers, be careful when you go to blend it in a blender, let the soup cool for a bit, the steam plus the blending of the soup when it is still hot will blow the lid off the blender... I discovered this the hard way.
