Overnight Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
These were really easy to make. I don't really remember if I counted the rolls - meaning I added more than 20 - or used too small a pan, but mine overflowed by the next morning. It wasn't a problem, I just punched them down a little and no one knew the difference. They tasted great!

Pizza On The Grill II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
I really enjoyed making this on the gas grill. I used fresh pizza dough from Trader Joe's along with their jar of pizza sauce. Toppings used were carmelized onions, roasted garlic and bella mushrooms. Another pizza was traditional basil, tomatoes and mozzarella slices. Yum! When grilling these pizzas preparation can't be stressed enough as dough cooks fast and will burn if you're not staying with it. Once I grilled one side of the dough and flipped, I quickly added toppings, turned the gas on lowest setting and lowered the lid. Lowering the lid helped the cheese to melt. This is a lot of fun for guests or kids to pick out their own toppings and make their own pizza. One person at the grill though. Things move fast and you'll need the room.

Berry Bliss Cake

Reviewed: May 24, 2008
This is a very easy and simple dessert. I skipped the orange juice, but it probably would have made the pound cake a little moister if I hadn't eliminated it. I switched out the berries for strawberries, and when my guests saw what was heading to the table they gave a collective, "oooohhhh". A funny moment I had to share. Thanks for the easy recipe.

Great recipe. I read some of the other reviews and added a dash of balsamic vinegar. Very pretty and fresh salad on a warm day. Thanks!

Lower Fat Banana Bread II

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
I found my bread to be a little tasteless. I think I'll add some cinammon and nutmeg next time and maybe more applesauce. I actually added three large very ripe bananas (almost black) but the banana flavor just didn't come through like I'd hoped. All in all, it's a great basic recipe that I'll keep in my recipe box. Thanks!!

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
This was a quick and easy recipe. I sauteed smoked sausage and garlic with the onions and spinach and added a touch of nutmeg and red pepper flakes to the eggs. Instead of muenster cheese, I substituted sharp cheddar. It tasted great and was an easy breakfast casserole to eat before leaving for work. I would make this for company as well. Thanks for the recipe!!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
These were a big hit at our BBQ party over the weekend. The guys devoured them. I used center cut bacon, cut in thirds, then wrapped each smokie securing with a toothpick. Before placing on the foil-lined cookie sheet, each bacon-wrapped smokie was rolled in brown sugar. Once all the smokies had been wrapped, secured and ready for the oven, more brown sugar was added. After baking, I removed the smokies to a crock pot to keep warm and poured the drippings from the cookie sheet on top. It kept them moist and added more sweetness. My guests loved them!

Won Ton Wrapper Appetizers

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
I served these appetizers just this weekend at our family BBQ. It was a big hit and I was asked for the recipe. I read a few of the other reviews and took their advice on altering the ingredients. I used Savory Sage Sausage and substituted chopped red bell pepper and scallions for the olives. Thanks for this recipe! I'll use it again!
