Tahini Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
These were surprisingly good! I did add a dash of salt and a splash of vanilla and...a 1/4 cup of mini semi sweet chocolate chips. I formed the dough into a half inch thick rectangle on the cookie sheet and cut them into bars after they cooked for 15 minutes and cooled for 5 min. I usually make playgroup granola bars from this site and these are a little less sweet but healthier with a great texture and so easy to make with such a short ingredient list. Thank you for this keeper!

Pumpkin Protein Cookies

Thank you for the recipe! I needed to use up some pumpkin puree. I had a whole cup so I used it all and adjusted the cook time to 15 minutes. I cooked mine in a muffin pan because they were a little too wet to roll into a ball with the extra pumpkin I used. They were moist and yummy.

Prune and Olive Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
I make this often. I usually short cut with boneless chicken breasts and often use a few tbsps of an olive tampenade if I don't have good olives on hand. Great with egg noodles or bowtie pasta. Thank you Teresa.

I need a food processor. I just mashed with a fork but probably would be even better if processed.

Quick Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
Very simple and good. I made a couple of changes. I substituted 3/4 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup beer instead of the milk. I also only had cheese soup so I added a 1/2 package of taco seasoning. I used 8 burrito sized tortillas rolled up and baked covered in a 9x13 for 30 and added Moz cheese and cooked 10 more min.

Chicken Supreme II

Tasted like a short cut to Chicken Marsala. I used Marsala wine, heavy whipping cream and fresh mushrooms and did not have the tarragon. Other than those substitutions I followed the recipe and it was so simple, quick and delicious.

Goulash Supreme

Quick easy dinner thrown together with on hand ingredients. I like that. This would be much better if you cooked the noodles separately and then mixed with meat mixture. The texture of the noodles was just off when cooked in skillet and needed to add water to keep from drying out and that also watered down the flavor.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
This was a fussy recipe with the pounding and the wrapping and the tooth picks not to mention that I did pre cook my bacon. I am definately a lazy chef! I thought the cream cheese was to much and maybe provolone would be better. No fault of the recipe but my chicken was dry.

Quick and easy. Kids liked it. Next time I will cover the chicken with foil until the last 10 minutes to keep moist. I will make this again.

Busy Day Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
The dark meat was good but the white meat was icky mushy. I think it just cooked in to much liquid for to long. I did trim the fat and remove the skin (a very unpleasant process) I used the recommended amout of sauce. Next time I will follow the Baked slow cooker chicken recipe from this site and just season the chicken and brush with BBQ sauce. It was nice to smell and taste BBQ in February in Michigan!

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

I also used taco season packet and only 1 cup of taco sauce because that was all I had. We were very hungry and took them out of the oven at about 15 minutes. Next time I will leave them in for the full 25 minutes because the well cooked crispy parts were so good!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
This was very good. I was not going to deviate from the recipe except for the addition of garlic but at the last minute I just had to thicken the sauce. I removed the chicken and kept it warm and then added about 1 tbsp of flour mixed with approx 1/4 cup of marsala wine and a couple tbsp of heavy cream up to a boil then down to a simmer and put the chicken back in the sauce and served immeadiately over angel hair pasta. I did not regret this change. Thank you Lisa for this wonderful recipe!

Easy Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
Great flavor, super easy, and darn inexpensive! I did adjust the water to 3/4 cup and the oil to 1/4 cup to adjust to my personal preferance of a thicker sauce. Unfortunately I used a store brand envelope of pizza crust that you just add water and stir. The sauce out classed the crust so much it was like wearing pearls with flip flops!
