Great recipe for spaghetti sauce. I liked the flavors of cinammon, allspice (subbed ground clove, nutmeg and ginger). We used sweet Italian turkey sausage with the casing removed and browned and crumbled this. We also added a bit of brown sugar to take some of the acidity out of the sauce. Yum!

Fish Tacos with Honey-Cumin Cilantro Slaw and Chipotle Mayo

My husband made these tacos when his mother visited us. They were fabulous! I raved about them to anyone who would listen. Now I can't wait for him to make them again. We really loved the fish, though my 4 year old thought the nuggets were a little too sour after being marinated in the lime. An acquired taste, I guess. Delicious!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Very good pot roast. I made this with a few tweaks. I used Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix, sprinkled a little celery seed and garlic salt over the roast. I added vegetables - potatoes, carrots, a large sweet onion, and celery. When adding vegetables, you should add extra salt, because the veggies soak up a lot of the flavor. I added about a tsp. of salt, and a sprinkle of Herbes de Provence. This smelled so delicious that I couldn't wait to dig in. YUMMY!!

Apple Crisp II

I love this Apple Crisp recipe. It is the best one that I have tried. Once, I forgot to make the syrup and it turned out fine as well. I always use Granny Smith apples since they are so tart. With Granny Smith, the recipe is not too sweet. It goes great with vanilla ice cream.

This was okay. I didn't love the flavor of this dish and neither did my husband. For a great fruit-pork recipe, try the Caramel Apple Pork Chops, also on this site.

Chicken and Rice Casserole I

I made this dish last week. It turned out great. I did however, reduce the onion soup mix to half and used brown rice instead of white rice. Goes great with green beans and a green salad. Will make again.

Chicken Marsala

This was pretty good. I halved the butter and oil and added some minced garlic per other reviewers suggestions. My hubby even went back for seconds! Will definately make again.
