About this Cook
I have lived all over the United States. I finally settled down in Michigan where I met my husband. We are now living in Indiana and have 2 wonderful boys. My family is everything to me. I come from a pretty big family. My Mom is Italian and my Dad was German. What a combo !
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook all types of things. I will try anything once. My boys really like anything Italian that I make or any thing that I bake. I have my family spoiled. They don't like things that aren't from scratch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I do alot of baking during the holidays. Both of my boys are great help. They enjoy being in the kitchen with me. They are already fighting over who gets my cookbook with all of our family favorite recipes in it. We have alot of extended family during the holidays also. My sister in law insists on being at my house for Thanksgiving. She says it just isn't the same any where else.
My cooking triumphs
I made a 5 tier cheesecake wedding cake for my brothers wedding. It was very stressful but, I did it !
My cooking tragedies
I would burn everything I had to cook in the microwave when I first got married. I don't know how many times we had to air out the house because of that ! I was not a very good baker either. If it didn't come in a box, I could not make it. I have improved greatly since then thanks to my Mother in law.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini
Excellent soup! Great change from the norm. My family loves soup and I make a different soup one to two times a week during the winter. I have made this soup and froze the left overs in single serve containers, It freezes well. I have also substituted spinach for the zuchini and it is equally good. My boys even eat it and they are not vegetable eaters.

Classic Cuban Midnight (Medianoche) Sandwich
Excellent sandwich! Even my picky "Boys" at it up and wanted moore. I used some leftover pulled pork from another dinner earlier in the week that had no barbeque sauceon it. It was seasoned with a few spices and it was perfect on this sandwich ! I will surely make this one again !
