Chicken Stew with Dumplings

too much starch. Leave out potatoes. I was thinking of putting zucchini instead. I diced veges into small pieces. Too much pepper. Maybe only ½ the amount next time. The dumplings were too big, and didn't cook inside. Make dumplings size of teaspoon, and cook longer. Also, to cut time, I cooked chicken in water for 1 hour then cut up chicken & placed bones&skin in soup bag. The put it all back in pot and added veges for ½ hour. Then added dumplings. Maybe next time I'd cook the dumplings separately, like in a soupmix/water mixture, and then serve them in same bowl.

Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

this was a great salad! The tortellini I get comes in a pkg of 12 oz. I made that with 1 triple bunch of broccoli. It served 4. The dressing seems a bit too sweet at first. But if you mix it into the salad about 2 hours before it's really good. I also put craisins instead of raisins, and I put bacos instead of bacon. Will definitely make again!

Frosty Freezer Pie

neighbors listened to ingredients & said "marshmallow fluff is good for one thing - rice krispies! Go keep your recipes to yourself. But once it was made & she tasted it, she asked for the recipe. She went crazy when she heard it had fluff in it. She said "but I thought it would be way too sweet" I doubled the recipe, and it was plenty for 3 pies. atleast. I didn't have a 3rd piecrust, so I put it in a round pan w/o crust.

really good. DH loved it. I left off the salt, and I put less than ½ tsp salt as others had suggested. I would leave off even more pepper next time. & add more ginger.

Apple Turnovers

Did it with 8 Gala apples, since that's what I needed to get rid of. Doubled the ingredients. I made it into a long strudel. Next time I should prob. use both sheets (made with Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets) Didn't do lemon bath.

Stuffed Zucchini I

I put in 3 frozen cubes of parsley (can add another possibly next time) ½ c. chopped onion, 1 c. bread crumbs, and sprayed with Olive oil Pam instead of the butter. Came out really good.

Curried Carrot Soup

I added 3 cubes of frozen crushed garlic when adding curry. Was in a hurry, so I used frozen carrots and instant soup mix for stock. Was delicious!
