About this Cook
I am a hairdresser who enjoys many hobbies, one of which is cooking
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new things, but rarely fry or bake because of a diabetic husband with high cholesterol. We try to eat healthy, but tasty.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite memories of time spent with mom were in the kitchen, that is where we seemed to talk about the important things. I bring my family into cooking with me when I can, they help chop, prepare, and fetch while I do the hard stuff and supervise sometimes. We really seem to connect that way and my husband is even becoming a better cook!
My cooking triumphs
Homemade bagels, Emerils Panaed Chicken, I make awesome Pralines, I can praline syrup and tomatoes. My sweet potato pie is much requested. I also won second place at the county fair with my hand made wheat bread.
My cooking tragedies
I made some really awful sweet and sour pork, I caught bread on fire once in the oven ( it was touching the top heating element).
