I love to cook, but don't get to as much as I would like with school and work. Even though I am only 31 years of age, I have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner for approximately 15-17 years.
My favorite things to cook
I tend to have more of a southern/comfort foods cooking. I believe my grandmother had something to do with that, however I like to try other things too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
New York style cheesecake on Thanksgiving and Christmas for my father.
My cooking triumphs
When cooking for friends and family, hearing them ask for specific dishes they can't seem to get enough of. I have been told I missed my calling; however, I continue to enjoy cooking this way.
My cooking tragedies
I have learned the extreme hard way to buy cookbooks with pictures in them. They always say pictures say a thousand words and when it comes to cooking I am looking for only 10 words, "This is what your dish is suppose to look like."
