About this Cook
I am a born again Christian and I have been married for almost 6yrs now and have a 4yr old boy and a 3yr old girl. Since comming to this site a little over a year ago. My cooking has advanced. I am one who gets tired of the same old things for dinner so I love be able to come to Allrecipes and finding something new to make. I love to try new things when having people over and hearing them rave about how good everything is. Then asking for the recipe. Thank you!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook in the slow cooker mainly because I have to small childern and a home to tend to and the less work that I have to do the more time that I can spend with the family. :) Since living in Virgina I have learned how to cook some Perto Rican meals The rice is the best My husband can't get enough
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I started using this website I did not have any cooking traditions, but thanks to this site I have started a few. The ones that were a hit in my family and easy to make are the keepers for me. So I make them about once a month or when ever I get a chance.
My cooking triumphs
I have made some awesome recipes since I have been cooking. I never understood how people could not follow a recipe exact and still have it turn out good or even better. Now I know that it just comes to you in time ant practice and the more cooking you do the more you know what goes good with what. I love it!!
My cooking tragedies
I have had a few of these but none as bad as my first time that I tried to make home made giblet gravy lets just say it tasted like greasy flour. YUK!! I still get picked on for this one. Some ate it anyway despite the tast just because the turkey was dry too.:( But on the brighter side I have made a great juicey turkey since then But bought the giblet gravy. :)

Jeweled Coconut Crisps
These cookies were pretty good. I did them for a cookie exchange and they won most creative cookie. They are pretty and the remind me of sugar cookies with coconut and cherries. I am not sure if I will make these again. Others really liked them but there was just something about them that did not tast right to me. Thanks for sharing with us though.
