this was my first yeast bread ever...i tried it out on thanksgiving morning and all was well till the last rise ...it didnt rise....? i have now been making alot of bread an have never had this problem again so maybe it was just cuz i was inexperienced bread maker . i will try this again this thanksgiving...oh and yes i still served them an everyone ate them and didnt say a word....good guest lol

Alissa's Vegetarian Lentil Meatloaf

i made this along with a meatloaf for my husband and i was not too impressed with the lentil loaf. it was dry...kinda bland and needed something added to it. Maybe next time i will add the orange preserves mixture i put on his meatloaf. In the end i had a huge amount of the loaf left and tried making sandwiches with it...i melted some cheese overtop trying to not have to throw it out. but in the end half the loaf went in the garbage. :( And iam a lentil lover so i am not too sure what went wrong....?

Jo's Rosemary Bread

If you love rosemary ...you will LOVE this bread! I used fresh rosemary from my garden(3tbs) and at end of baking i brushed with EVOO and sprinkled fresh ground pepper and garlic ontop....its great as toast...for sandwiches...or just eating sliced w/out butter. Thanks for a great bread recipe!!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

EVERYONE asks for this recipe!! It seems a lil odd to pour the liq mixture over the crust but iam sure thats what makes it soooooooooo good!!! I add some nutmeg and cinn and cloves sprinkled over the apples before i put on the top crust. MMM!!!

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

I personally was not too impressed with these potatoes cuz i like my potatoes roasted style. But i made them for the fam on thanksgiving (my first turkey day hosted at my house) and they ate em all up!! Did not recieve much ranting and raving like some of the other peps got but def a hit and very time saving!!! I changed a few things...added some gouda cheese turkey day morning just before i put em in the crockpot. very nice to not have to worry about them taking up your oven all day . I will make them again cuz my man loves mashed potatoes and these were just too easy!!!!!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Nice change from standard pumpkin pie. I added a lil more pumkin puree to the cream cheese for a richer color. Good enough that my mom asked for the recipe and my DF was bummed we didnt have much left overs:)

Spinach Tomato Linguine

this is a good pasta recipe that is really easy and quick. loved the feta! next time i think i will add more spinach, I LOVE SPINACH. i used whole wheat pasta

Strawberry and Feta Salad

i didnt think i would like this drsg very much but after i tried it on the salad it was a plesent surprise. Draws the flavor out of the strawberries. yum will make this again

alot like tabbouleh. i like that this is a more balanced meal(protein). i added garlic. if ya like tabbouleh i think you will like this recipe.

Lentil Soup

i am now a lentil lover!!this soup is so full of flavor and is even pretty to serve. i did add a tsp of curry . even had enough to freeze a lg bowel

i made this last night and WOW was it good!left out the mint (didnt have any)but made sure to get the sumac. i would agree with the other posters....DEF the most important ing!!
