About this Cook
I took a cooking course back in 1982. My main inspiration for cooking was my Mother. I would describe my cooking style today as simple due to health issues.
My favorite things to cook
stir fries, turkey dinners, pies/cakes
My favorite family cooking traditions
French canadian meat pies were always made during the Christmas season. We just eat with Ketchup. My Mother was an excellent cook. Her tomato sauce was excellent, she at times put some pork ribs in the sauce and let it cook slow for hours.
My cooking triumphs
making petite fours for a wedding. it was hard work, put enjoyable
My cooking tragedies
a few minor mishaps.

Apricot-Glazed Cornish Hens
I made this for our Canadian Thanksgiving. It was delicious. I followed the exact recipe. My company wanted a copy of the recipe. I'm making this for my brother when he visits next month. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Savory Pork Roast
I didn't have any marjoram, so I used ground thyme instead. It was moist, tender and very delicious. I have to try it with the marjoram next time.
