Baked Slow Cooker Chicken
Not quite as good as I had hoped (or as it smelt). On the advice of other reviewers, I added quite a bit more spice than recommended, stuffed the bird with bell peppers, garlic and apple and replaced the tin foil with quartered potatoes and carrots (the veggies were very tasty). Unfortunately, the chicken was totally overcooked (falling off the bones and bones disintegrating) and certainly not visually impressive for some of the pickier eaters in the family. I will give the recipe another shot with a few changes and not cooking for as long but I’m not getting my hopes up.
