Grilled Venison Backstrap
Tastes good, but the sweetness was a little strange. A good change of pace for folks who eat lots of venison I like my red meat garlicy, peppery and salty.Added a little liquid smoke, and used Sweet Baby Rays, which is pretty sweet for a BBQ sauce. The apple juice pretty much eliminated the gamey taste.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili
This chili ROCKS!!! I was afraid it would be TOO hot, but it's not. Very Robust flavor, and the spicy aroma just lingers for minutes. Can't wait to taste it tomorrow. I deviated based on items on hand. I'm a bean guy, LOVE 'EM, Replaced 2 cans of chili beans with 1 can GREAT NORTHERN BEANS and 1 can of BLACK BEANS, Chiles were not available, substituted with 2 SORRANOs, 1 HOT FINGER, and 1/2 HABANERO, and used FRANKS extra hot sauce...also added 12oz of white mushrooms cut about 3/8"-1/2" thick. If you like mushrooms, they absolutely rock in chili. This recipe is 5 stars for a reason, it absolutely kills! Make it, and impress the hell out of your friends. The spicyness lingers, it's not a scorcher. This is a recipe for the ages. Nuff said.
