I am happiest when I am with my family. I have a husband I adore and six beautiful children. I have one grand daughter and another one on the way. I teach at a school for developmentally delayed preschoolers. I enjoy holiday cooking. I also enjoy cooking basic southern meals. Monkey bread and sauage balls for Christmas...my children love them since their childhood. When my grand daughter is over, we make cookies and decorate them. My four dauthers and I love to get in the kitchen and create yummy things to eat. Finally getting my cornbread recipe down...many failures but finally a triumph. Thanksgiving turkey and profecting my dressing recipe. Oh my goodness...my first apartment and my first guest. I cooked fried chicken for my family and some very dear friends. The chicken was done on the outside but to my horror....not on the inside. I was so embarressed. But everyone was so sweet and thanked me for the wonderful meal. Many years later, I was cooking chicken on my first gas grill.....yes..history repeated itself. It was done on the outside and not on the inside. My kids loved to tease me about that. So, it seems that I have to take it easy on the chicken.
