About this Cook
I'm a new mom altho I've been a nanny by profession for many years. I love learning new things & I college diploma in cooking. I am married to an Irish man who is an excellant cook & he does alot of the cooking, which is great tasting especially when he cooks meat.
My favorite things to cook
I prefer to bake actually. I love making fun food (like green cookies & shaped cookies). I am learning how to make delicious dishes with tofu that my hubby will eat & spare the lives of countless animals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
It all started with my Gramma Pat teaching me how to bake PB & choc chip cookies . The chocolate brownies & anything else chocolate. My Mom hates to cook or bake so she help pay for a college course in Gourmet Cooking so that I could do it all. The best family tradition is getting together for the holidays & all the ladies bring a special dish, the recipes & trading advice & tips .
My cooking triumphs
snickerdoodles that are beautiful, soft & hold there shape. pb cookies that are soft & round.
My cooking tragedies
a few badly timed goodie that got burned.

Elizabeth's Extreme Chocolate Lover's Cake
has heavenly frosting, but cake was very crumbly. I will use the frosting & Ganache reciepes for my other cakes.

Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies I
THese are very tasty. This is by far the best oatmeal cookie I have eaten. I substituted 1/4 cup of Graham flour for 1 cup of oats, I used rolled barley instead of actual oats (healthier); they look & taste like oats but have more nutriton as does the graham flour. I also added 1 cup choc chips & used 2 cups of butterscotch chips.

this is awesome fudge !!!!!!!!!!! my hubby ate the whole batch before it had even cooled, it is great warm. i substituted the white choc for regular chocolate & smeared that on top as a layer, & added festive sprinkles for more cheer. also I left out the extracts. this reciepe is Super easy.I made it while also mixing up butterscotch oatmeal cookies 1. both reciepes are great.
