About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to cook anything. I always enjoy finding new baking recipes or ideas for everyday meals.
My cooking triumphs
I learned how to make pie crusts this summer. And am enjoying experimenting with new pasteries.
My cooking tragedies
Sadly my biggest cooking tragedy occured while making the simplest food in the world....Kraft dinner I have managed to ruin 2 pots because I got distracted while making Kraft Dinner. It's not something I make often but when I do I don't leave the kitchen...lesson learned lol

Potato Leek Soup III
Good soup...great base to add other things I added some ham and green onions. Instead of cornstarch I added powdered potatoes to thicken before I added the cream (half and half) I only used margarine instead of butter and only a fraction of the amount about 3 tbs Next time i think cauliflower would make it even better!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins
I sub'd apple sauce for the olive oil Added Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and a little bit of ginger to the batter (or pumpkin pie spice would have worked) And used Oatmeal instead of nuts for the topping I had trouble getting the cream cheese mix to thicken but pulled out the stand mixer and it thickened up very quickly I did use powdered sugar instead of brown sugar for the cream cheese mix Turned out Delicious!!! Made 2 Dozen...5 for taste but 4 because of the changes that so many people have suggested.

Yogurt Cake
Made this for a co-workers Birthday used Vanilla yogurt, added a chocolate marble, and topped with chocolate drizzle...turned out FABULOUS very moist but light....everyone had seconds!!! I did cut the margarine in half and added an extra quarter cup or so of yogurt instead.
