Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
For me, this combo of flavours is just wrong! I used beef for this, and in my opinion it completely ruined the flavour of the meat. Perhaps pork roast would be better, but I don't think I will be trying it. Very disappointed, as was my husband.

Loved this recipe! Only thing I did differently and it worked out fine was I used regular yellow onion diced instead of green onion and I didn't have almonds. Yummy!!

Delicious! I thought these may be too sweet, but they were just perfect! Delicate flavour for the potatoes. I loved them. Thanks for the recipe!

Lots of work, and kinda messy but all worth it. I put chicken breast in the slow cooker for about 3 hours and they shredded perfectly for this recipe. It is the real deal!! Thanks

Delicious Easy Chicken Francese

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This was delicious! Only thing I did a little differently, was I pounded the chicken until is was very large and thin. Make sure to dip chicken in flour first then egg! Pan fry in about a tbsp oil until lightly golden each side. I found the sauce a little runny, so I think next time I would use a little less chicken stock and a little more cornstarch. Make sure to mix cornstarch in a little bit of water before adding to liquid, otherwise it will clump. Everyone loved the flavour of this recipe. Thanks

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

For me this was way way too heavy and kind of bland. I didn't like the overall flavour. I followed the recipe exactly. I was a little disappointed. Was worth the try though. Thanks for the recipe.

Awesome Awesome, Sangria Sangria!! The best, bar none!!! Make sure to do the day before (except add soda just before serving). Way better than any mexican restaurant recipe that I have had!

Brunch Strata

Absolutely delicious - I cut the recipe in half but did everything exactly by the recipe and it was awesome! Everyone loved it. As some others suggested, I prepared it the night before and kept it in the fridge. Then, the next day, I cooked it. It came out perfect.

Tea Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
I've been looking for a good tea biscuit recipe for ages and this one is really good. I think the key is shortening (instead of butter which most recipes call for). I used butter flavoured Crisco and this was great. Also, I used a full teaspoon of salt and this could definitely be cut a little. Overall awesome recipe.

Chicken with Mushrooms, Prosciutto, and Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
I agree completely with Cyn D. If I could give this 10 stars I would. One of the best I have tried from this site and I have tried alot!! Only thing I did different was I fried extra mushrooms and added them to the sauce and I used skinless boneless chicken breast and covered the casserole dish when cooking. My husband literally licked his plate!! Awesome awesome! I can't wait to serve this to my in-laws! Thanks for the recipe!! Update: one reviewer said sauce is horrible and tastes like eating sour cream by the spoon. It will taste like this if you don't reduce your sauce down quite a bit. Also, to avoid dried mushooms, I covered the dish and cooked for one hour. I fried the garlic in the fry pan before adding the sour cream, wine and juice from the chicken. If this recipe is absolutely wonderful if done correctly. I had it again last night for all my family, and everyone love it!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This is unbelievably moist and delicious!! I followed the recipe exactly as written, except turned mine into a banana bread. I put the batter in a greased standard size loaf pan, reduced the temp to about 340 degree and baked for about 45 minutes. This is to die for!! Make sure to top the loaf with the crumb mixture. Thanks for the recipe!!

This was sooo good. When I made it though, I couldn't get butterscotch chips so I substituted butterscotch macaroon chocolates. I also added about 1/2 cup golden raisin soaked in rum. It was one of the best deserts I have ever made!! Thanks for the recipe.

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
This was awesome!!! I generally stayed with the recipe except I use Campbells Chicken broth rather than water and boullion. I cooked the raw broccoli in with the other stuff for the last five minutes cooking time. Definitely use process cheese (I used low fat cheese slices). One last thing, if you blend the brocolli with the potatoe and onion mixture - you will be a pea green color which some people may find it unappetizing. If you don't want this color soup, simply blend the potatoe mixture without the broccoli and keep the broccoli piece whole in the soup. One last thing...I added celery and I topped the soup with ground pepper when serving. This was one of the best soups I have ever tasted.

Smothered Filet Mignon

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2008
I followed this recipe exactly. I had never tasted blue cheese before this and I (unfortunately) found out I don't like the flavor of blue cheese. I found the cheese overpowered everything and I really really didn't the combo of flavours. My husband thought it was okay and suggested 3 stars. Maybe I would like it better with goat cheese...but I probably won't try again. Sorry...but thanks for the recipe.
