About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom. I love to cook. I don't cook so much anymore as it is easy to over eat and gain weight. When I do cook, I try to keep it healthy as possible. I don't fry at all.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook fresh vegetables. I love the aroma it sends all through my house. I also love to cook onions in everything if possible. They smell great and they also help season my food without added fats, oils and salt.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make homemade cornbread in an iron skillet. That's a great southern tradition. My entire family does that.
My cooking triumphs
I have learned to make homemade salad dressings. I especially love to make ranch. I don't like mayo so I add a lot of garlic and herbs to mine so the mayo taste is not overpowering.
My cooking tragedies
One time I tried to feed my family spaghetti with no meat. What a laugh. I was very young and didn't know any better. It looked so good on the sauce can. Now I make homemade sauce and use italian sausage instead of ground beef.

Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables
These are the best stuffed peppers I have ever eaten. I love the fact that they're so healthy and yummy! I didn't change the recipe at all.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie
This is a very good recipe! I used fat free Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk and added ground cloves to my pie. It turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing.
