Chicken and Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
Good flavor, but no way does this recipe make 4 adult size servings. I doubled the recipe, and tripled the noodles, and it still fit easily into a 8" x 8" (2 quart) baking dish! The only thing I did different was that I sauted the celery, as my family doesn't like it crunchy. I like the combination of ham and chicken flavors together.

Swiss 'n' Bacon Pizza

Enjoyed the flavor, but there wasn't enough of the topping to cover the biscuit dough. Next time will double the mayo and cheese.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

The juice (sauce) had a good flavor, but my husband and I thought the dehydrated onions overpowered the recipe. I may try using an herb soup mix next time.

Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
I am just wondering what a serving size is, because it says 15 servings. The recipe calls for a 10 oz. jar of cherries, which has over 30 cherries in it. I had enough dough to make 23, so did I do something wrong? I took the other reviewers suggestion and frosted the cookies before baking. They turned out great, and I will definitely make them again.

Chocolate Heart Cookies

The dough had nothing to hold it together. It crumbled when I went to roll it out. I had to put it back in the mixing bowl and add an egg. Then it was the consistency cookie dough should be. I was making these for my son's class, and didn't have any extra, so I can't say how they tasted. They make a nice presentation though.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
Very good. Used Sweet Italian Turkey sausage, subbed can of diced tomatoes for fresh ones, and subbed Ital. green beans for zucchini since no one else in my family likes zucchini. Loved the flavor, and the fact it uses fresh herbs in it. It IS a brothy soup, so if you prefer thick soups, you may want to cut back on the liquid.

Pasta Strega Nonna

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
I followed the other reviewers suggestions and used a whole pound of shrimp, and served with bowtie pasta. I also added the white wine and a little chicken broth, as there wasn't much sauce. Didn't add the hot sauce because I didn't have any and my family doesn't like spicy food. They thought it was great. It is a nice light dish, and would be great in the summer.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
This was a hit at our house! My husband said definitely make this again. More of the gravy would have been great to put on mashed potatoes, but excellent flavor and so easy to make. One tip, if you use a lowfat beef, you may want to put a little oil in pan when you brown the patties.
