I made this with fresh shelled english peas, fresh baby corn, and snow peas! It was really good! I sprinkeled the finsihed dish with toasted sesame seeds.

Great! It stays moisture if it's baked in an iron skillet in the oven.

Fruitcake

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
This had way too much butter! It spilled all over my oven and was a mess to clean up. you could probably use half the amount of butter and still have a moist cake. We wrapped the cakes in cheese cloth that had been dipped in rum, then stored them in zip-lock bags in a cool dark place for a month before eating them.

Cream Sauce With Herbs and No Dairy

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
I used only 16 oz tofu pureed with garlic, basil, oregano, rosemary, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika, and sundried tomatoes. No soy milk or any other ingrediants. warmed it in a pan and tossed it on tortillini with chopped fresh spinach and sauted zucchini.

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
This is supper easy and I use it for all types of fruit. I brown the butter in a sauce pan before I pour it into the baking dish for a little extra flavor. I never have self rising flour so I add 1 tsp each of baking soda and baking powder plus 1/4 tsp salt.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
AMAZINGLY moist. We used whole milk yogret instead of sour cream. And baked it in two round cake pans. Next time i would add an extra cup of choc chips on top after the cake batter is poured into the pans, because all the choc. chips sank to the bottom so there were none on top.

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
Using ice cream sandwhiches and cool whip makes it faster. But is better if you make a choc. gram cracker crust for bottom, or lay down crushed oreoes, then layer with bryers ice cream, dark choc. hot fudge, real whip cream, and peanuts.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
I actually wrapped the chicken and some sliced polenta in raw baccon and put it in the 9x13 dish. Next time I would put the chicken on a grate in the dish so the baccon grease would drip off as it baked and leave the cheese, ranch off so it didn't just run to the bottom of the pan and mix with the baccon grease.

Magic Lemon Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
A great recipe for when you need dessert in a pinch, though the topping didn't turn out for me. I had to put the pie with filling in the oven for 7 min to heat the filling up then put the topping on once the pie was hot. The first time I put the topping on the cool filling and the bottom of the merange didn't cook.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
Boil the pumpkin seeds first about 30min in heavly salted water. This give them a salty flavor on the inside and allow the stringy pumpkin to seperate off the seeds easier. Let them cool. Remove ALL pumpkin residue or it will burn during roasting. Then roast or leave overnight to dry on baking dish and roast the next day. Takes only 25 min to roast and stir every 5-7min.

I added one shredded carrot. Doubled the topping. Didn't have bread crumbs so used 4 slices bread, dried and torn in pieces. Also used steak sauce and 3 cloves minced garlic instead of worsterchire.
