About this Cook
I'm a full time software developer who loves to cook and eat good food. Although I've been cooking for at least 10 years, it was only a couple of years ago that I really got serious with it. I have learned so much during that time and now cooking and baking is a major hobby of mine. There's nothing like the fantastic feeling you get when people love the food you've made for them.
My favorite things to cook
Pizza. I'm a pizza fanatic and I love making my own crusts.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list! Especially when trying so many recipes from AR. :)

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
Delicious! The meatballs came out perfectly tender. The key is the fresh breadcrumbs, they soak up sauce and become "moisture blobs" in the meatballs. lol. I added more garlic to them and threw in a little salt and a small amount of red pepper flakes to avoid the bland tasting meatballs that some other reviewers mentioned. I will definitely make this again. As with all recipes that call for basil, I implore you to use fresh basil (Use 3X the amount when using fresh!), it's so much better than dry basil.

Carrot Cake III
Absolutely wonderful. Don't change anything. My department at work went CRAZY over it. I thought 1 and 1/4 cups of oil seemed like a lot but it just made the cake so moist and tender (Not greasy, trust me). Even more important - Don't listen to bad reviews from people who didn't follow the recipe! They're giving their own recipe a bad review at that point, not this one. Also, remember that ovens are different. Check on the cake a few minutes early if you think you need to. The second that toothpick is clean, it's done.
