Healthy Banana Cookies

These taste healthful, which they are. The natural sweetness proves that you don't always need to add sugar to everything! Maybe next time I'd use craisins (which have added sugar, oh well) or raisins.

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
These are actually the same dough as "Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I" on this site, which is my neighbor's favorite cookie variety that I bake... Peanut Butter chips add another flavor than just "chocolate again."

These are addictive! Really simple, tasty, and popular. (You just have to worry about peanut allergies)

Blueberry Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
These were pretty good. I didn't make any changes to the recipe posted. My mom loved them; my friend and her siblings didn't so much. I liked that it didn't use so many blueberries, but I think I'll keep looking for a good low-fat high-fiber blueberry muffin.

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
This was really good-my dad doesn't like overwhelming tomato flavor, so that was good...not like minestrone (which, btw Jamie's Minestrone is the BEST)...I don't like Bay Leaves so I skipped that. Also omitted the Worc. sauce out of sheer laziness, but still thoroughly enjoyed. It's going into the repertoire. Thanks!

Sesame Chicken Strips with Sweet Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
I usually try to follow these things to the letter, but Ritz made this a little unhealthy. I did the mayo/mustard thing (with Miracle Whip Light and prepared mustard) and minced onion. Then I crushed bran flakes--added lots of fiber and whole grain, and mixed it with sesame seeds. Baked for about 20 minutes; no sauce necessary, it was so moist and tasty; the mayo-mustard thing was enough.

Apple Strudel Muffins

No need for bakeries with this simple and delicious recipe. I might add another tsp or two of flour to the topping, since mine looked like just brown sugar. Looked and tasted great anyway.

Blueberry Muffins II

These were unbeatable. I used margarine instead of butter, and they were still great. Butter would have made them OUTSTANDING. Everyone said they were better than what they get in the bakery. It's a keeper!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

These are great. Similar to the Chewy Brownie Cookies...good when you don't have shortening on hand. These disappeared instantly! I put in semi-sweet and white chocolate chips and they were beautiful and delicious

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
It was pretty good, but certainly not "the best." I've found that the recipes that use crisco are generally easier to handle. This was a little sticky. Also, when you work in a warm room, you get into big trouble with rolling out dough.

Half and Halfs

I omitted the chocolate chips. I made some big choc. cookies with little vanilla circles in middle and vice versa by putting a little ball of dough in the center. They're my friend's favorites!! She always asks me to make THESE of all things I bake! Thanks!
