I learned to cook because, sadly, I think my mother is the worst cook on the face of the planet, and a kid has to eat somehow. You may not believe me, but who but the worst cook on the planet mistakenly puts a cup of salt in a cherry pie? Anything that makes me look like a 4-star chef. :) I don't like "canned soup" recipes. Salty pie. See above. The first time I made an angel food cake that was actually fluffy. I left a pot of potatoes boiling when I had to run out of the house for a few minutes - which turned out to be longer than expected. Anyway, who knew potatoes catch fire? Luckily my roommate caught them before the kitchen burned down.
