About this Cook
I'm a transplant to Illinois through the Navy, thanks to my husband of 28 years. With 2 kids, now married,I had to learn to cook good healthy meals.I learned from watching my Mom cook.I believe if you enjoy cooking it comes easier.
My favorite things to cook
I like foods that make you think of "Grandma".I like crockpoting roast beef with carrots, potatoes,& onions.I also make the holiday meals of turkey or ham with all the fixings.Of course dessert is a must,a warm bowl of apple crisp.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess that would have to be cooking whatever someone wants for their birthdays.I have done that since the kids could say what they like.
My cooking triumphs
Hearing my daughter's then boyfriend say he would get married when she cooked as good as me.They have been married now for 4 years.
My cooking tragedies
Just a roast beef dinner I cooked when we first were married.Of course the dinner was made for company.Be thankful for pizza.

Famous Pork Chops
This is a recipe my Mom has made since I was a child. I cook my chops in a skillet on top of the stove. After you have breaded your chops mix any of the egg mixture and cracker crumbs together and cool in the frig. When your chops are done, don't clean the pan, I add a little oil and make patties out of the mixture and cook them about 4 minutes on each side till browned.
