I am a 25 year old attorney who took a break from life to move to Treviso, Italy with my boyfriend, who plays professional basketball here for Benetton Treviso. I have always enjoyed cooking but now that i have plenty of time on my hands i enjoy it even more. the only problem is trying to find the proper ingredients for alot of the recipes that arent truly authentic Italian. I love to cook anything at all, but (although i am sad to admit it) i am not very good at baking. I think its due to my lack of patience! My goal is to improve my baking skills. I am Pennsylvania Dutch and my Boyfriend is African American, from the South - as you can imagine we have all sorts of food stocked up in our kitchen! I love cooking new things and family traditions alike (his family and mine). My mom has made every meal from scratch since I was born. I try to live up to that but it's nearly impossible! She's amazing! I cant think of any one thing, but i vow to learn to make Pork, Sourkraut, and Mashed Potatoes on new years day (PA Dutch Tradition) as good as my mom one day!!!!
