Broccoli Crawfish Cheese Soup

I searched for a recipe today on allrecipes.com to use some broccoli that needed using. I expected to saute, steam.....found this recipe, only needed a couple of things that were not on hand, shrimp (crawfish cost too much) and a couple of cans of soup. Made the recipe to suit no one but me. Made exactly by the recipe thinking, comfort, but not great. My neighbor called and asked us to come down to eat. I took this dish just to take, even thought I thought it was simple, but good. The kids at their party devoured this soup even with the broccolil and shrimp. The adults raved. As long as I have tried to come up with the perfect dish for our gatherings. sometime good is really good, and great is hit and miss. Make this one for friends.

Cheesy Acorn Squash

Loved this recipe! Different, but not too crazy, very easy to make. Added a pod of garlic and a little white wine just so the mushrooms would cook down better.

Louisiana Crawfish Boil

I think this recipe should read "40 lbs of crawfish" not "4 lbs". I have not cooked this recipe, but I have cooked lots of crayfish and this recipe seems like a good one.

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

Dang! This is the best, great, simple recipe for shrooms! What I really like about this recipe is that the poster gave approximate times for cooking them, "until the mushroom sweat, about 5 minutes." This makes this recipe perfect everytime.

Summer Grilled Cabbage

O.K. If you are looking to impress some friends. Show up for their cook-out with these prewrapped in individual foil and put them on the grill away from the direct heat and watch the fun as the guest open their little packet of goodness. I have cooked this recipe many times. The only thing I add is a sliced onion as a last step.

Antipasto Pasta Salad

I don’t want to completely trash this recipe because it is a great combination, but 2 tablespoons (maybe it should have been 2 teaspoons) of oregano was thick. It overpowered the other great ingredients, and I love bold spices, but too much of any one can take you to a bad place.

Spicy Fish Soup

Great Recipe! Reminds me of a cross between gumbo and chicken tortilla soup. I didn't find it too spicy, but if you don't like spicy, don't cook "Spicy Fish Soup". I used a can of Rotel instead of tomatoes and chilis.

Fantastic! If you don't have venison. try flank steak. Use a good hunk of jalapeno. It will not be too hot. If you use pepper jack cheese, melt over at end.

Seattle Cream Cheese Dogs

Surprisingly, the cream cheese is very subtle in this recipe (although it is the winning ingredient). This dog is very good as is...but if you want to let it fly, get a bigger hoagie type roll and stuff it with what you like. This great recipe is so strong that as long as you have the cream cheese, onions, mustard, and hotdogs/wieners/sausage, it will lead the way!

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Simply Awesome! That is what this recipe is…simple (tasting and to make) and awesome at the same time. Don’t change a thing and it will be great. Buy the sherry…there is no substitute and it gives this dish just the right amount of flavor blending. I tried it with and without the sherry. The sherry is the cherry on top. Try letting your guests add a touch upon serving. Fun!

Healthy Garden Salad

Great recipe! Substituted grape seed oil with olive oil. Added small can of chopped green chilis and shreaded monterry jack cheese and served it with nacho chips like a salsa.

Fantastic, just like my German Omi makes, except she adds a teaspoon of capers to each. Gives a bolder taste. For best taste, cook the day before serving and reheat.
