Breaded Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I made this tonight and it was absolutely delicious. I did tweek a few things. Instead of Italian seasoning, I used McCormick's garlic and herb. As suggested, I used egg to coat the chicken and then doubled the recipe for the breading, which I used panko, instead of the stuffing mix. I served this with a side of angel pasta and sauce. This is a winner. As good as any that I have eaten in any restaurant.

Garlic Dill New Potatoes

This side dish is easy and delicious. I have never steamed potatoes-always boiled them-and they were great. the butter and dill dressing added a simple touch, but made the dish. It's a keeper.

Unbelievable Chicken

I marinated my chicken a day and a half and the flavor was wonderful. Served with herbed mashed potatoes and broccoli which made for a fast and healthy meal. Will make this again.

Italian Subs - Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This sandwich is absolutely as good as any served in a restaurant. I followed the recipe exactly and thought the marinade was outstanding. You must definitely use the Italian meats listed. The only thing that I recommend is to not put the lettuce in with the tomato and onion. I used fresh tomatoes, Italian parsley, and basil from my garden which made it better. This is a sandwich I will definitely make again.

Perfect Lobster Bisque

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
My husband and I had this dinner tonight and this is an easy and delicious recipe. As suggested by others, I added more mushroom, carrots, celery, garlic than called for because without it would have been like water. Also, I added 3/4 can of tomato paste which is absolutely neccessary, as is the cayenne pepper. I changed none of the liquid ingredients. This is definitely a keeper. Oh, almost forgot. Besides the 1 lb. fresh lobster, I added 7 large shrimp and a can of lump crab meat.

Flat Iron Steak and Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
This was absolutely a great summer time recipe. I followed the recipe exactly. The steak was wonderful and all of the ingredients just blended superbly.I didn't have Italian dressing, so I used Gazebo Room Greek salad and marinade dressing and crumbled feta, instead of blue cheese. With fresh tomatoes in season, I placed two beautiful slices on each plate for garnish. Tasted great and looked beautiful, too.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

These potatoes are wonderful. Followed the directions exactly. As suggested, make sure to add salt and pepper to your taste. I made more because I watched the video and tried freezing for future dinners or a light lunch. Definitely worth the time and effort.

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
I was very disappointed with this recipe. It was just didn't do anything for my husband and I. Very little flavor; just a bunch of peppers and links of sausage thrown together in a pan.

This is a very good recipe. I combined the ingredients from seafood cioppino and cioppini on this site. I simmered the sauce for 2 hours so herbs blended. Will make this again.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

This was good, but I think I will blanch the cauliflower first before I bake it. It will cut down on the baking time and make the cauliflower a bit more tender.

Celery Seed Potato Salad

I gave this only three stars because there was something missing. The dressing tasted great, but it wasn't to my liking. If I make this again, I think I will put in some dry mustard to give it a boost.

Garden Stuffed Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
This is a wonderful wasy to prepare a potato. I didn't have broccoli, so I used frozen peas and corn; topped with shredded Parmesan cheese. To melt the cheese, I placed them under the broiler for several minutes. Also, when I make these again I think I will use sour cream, instead of the ranch dressing. I also added garlic to the onion, plus garlic powder with parsley and the other dry ingredients. Enjoyed this recipe very much! It's a keeper.

Flat Iron Steaks Marinated in Red Wine

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
I marinated the steak for at least 4 hours and it didn't acquire much of the marinade taste, but when finished grilling it was good and tender.I will probably use this recipe again. It was not the best that I have ever made, but is easy to prepare.

Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
This is a healthy and delicious meal, but it is time consuming due to all the chopping. I used less chicken broth and added more garlic powder. I also added a small can of tomato sauce to thicken the chili. Definitely puree the 1 1/2 cups of soup. It makes a huge difference.

Shrimp, Broccoli, and Sun-dried Tomatoes Scampi with Angel Hair

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
Thanks to all the reviews. I followed the advice of several. I tossed my shrimp in basil, oregano, red and black pepper, and salt I had some fresh asparagus that needed to be used. Saute the broccoli, asparagus, 1 large mushroom, lots of garlic, and jar of fire roasted peppers, plus the can of tomatoes, not drained. To this I added a few more dashes of red pepper flakes because it seemed bland. After about 5 minutes, I added the shrimp and it was truly delicious.Don't forget to add some white wine when you put shrimp into the skillet. Will definitely make this dish again.

Italian Zucchini Saute

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I prepared this as a side dish. The ingredients were good, but there are so many other wonderful ways to make zucchini. I probably won't prepare this again. I added a pinch of sugar which I feel made it too sweet and added no salt. I will be searching for another recipe soon since the summer months and all the fresh produce are appearing

Crystal's Chicken Saltimbocca

I took the suggestions of others and sauted the fresh spinach and fresh mushrooms. Baked at 400 degrees covered and then uncovered the last 10 minutes. My husband and I enjoyed this meal very much. I'm not big on chicken, but this was a delightful meal and simple to prepare.
