About this Cook
We love to cook, and love to try new things in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
We love to cook Italian, Mexican, and Chinese food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
"Great-Grandma's Fried Chicken", "Grandma D's Oyster Dressing", Homemade Pot Pie
My cooking triumphs
We have perfected a chicken-spinach lasagna that is amazing!
My cooking tragedies
The worst cooking tragedy we've ever had came from a brownie recipe that asked us to dissolve quite a bit of sugar in less than half a cup of butter. To make the long story short, we ended up nearly making "rock candy" before we decided to toss the batter!

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta
We tried this recipe and absolutely love it!! We used a little milk to balance out the cream, which lightened it up a bit. It has become a family favorite!

Oatmeal Craisin Cookies
This recipe was a definite hit. I made these cookies and took them to a family party last weekend; they loved them! My aunt and cousin (who are both amazing cooks) asked for the recipe! The only thing I did differently from the recipe was that I added chocolate chips in the mix and didn't use raisins at all. It was tasty!
