About this Cook
I am so lucky to have a wonderful prince for a husband. I have three beautiful children and a new precious grandson! Cooking is very relaxing to me. I also love to sew, enjoy the outdoors with my family and to be together ..with some great homemade food, of course!
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new things all the time. I don't really have a favorite, because it is always an adventure!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family potlucks and holidays are our favorites. I love to have people in our home. Good cooks run in our family (born and married in to) so it's a great group to hang with.
My cooking triumphs
I have just progressively gotten better and am considered a favorite cook among family and friends.
My cooking tragedies
When my youngest was born in 2002, I kind of "lost my groove" for just being able to whip up a great dish on the fly....though I'm getting it back now and look forward to making great new creations in our new huge kitchen!

Melon 'n' Grape Medley
This is fabulous! I've made this twice in the last two weeks and everyone loves, loves, loves the flavor! It is so easy (followed exactly) and gives any menu a fresh wow! appeal. Thank you! Also, I didn't have time to make the melon balls and just cut up the melons. Still looked great!

Christmas Brunch Casserole
This was excellent with a few changes. I added some chopped green pepper and minced garlic to the saute mixture. Increased the eggs to 6, plus added some dry mustard and used sharp cheddar. I have a similar recipe that calls for the casserole to cook at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. This seeemed to work well so the top didn't get too brown and it was done to perfection all the way through. By the way, your house will smell AMAZING while this is cooking!

Fresh Asparagus Soup
Delicious!!!! Loved it even though my food processer also couldn't get it quite smooth....I'll have to get the imulsion blender as mentioned in previous reviews. I agree it is hardy enough for a meal on it's own also. Thanks!
