This recipe for beef jerky calls for soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke for marinating before going into a dehydrator. I hope you enjoy this jerky as much as me and my family do.

Celebrate your favorite holidays with color coordinated cookies. Use food coloring to color the dough of classic Spritz butter cookies to match a holiday theme, then sandwich the cookies together with white chocolate icing (also colored, if desired), and dip ends dipped into icing and colored sprinkles for a festive treat.

As a young girl, I was amazed when Mom transformed fresh apples into this delightful, lovely mixture. I'm not sure if I liked it so much because it was made with candies or because it tasted wonderful. -Barbara Hyatt, Folsom, California

To make a comforting pot of matzo ball soup, simply combine moistened bits of matzo with butter, eggs, salt, pepper and finely minced onions and parsley. Add enough matzo meal to form balls and drop into boiling chicken broth. It couldn't hurt!

I hear so many nice comments when I serve this special springtime dessert. I make it often when our abundant rhubarb is in its prime. It's just as homey as a rhubarb custard pie, but it easily serves a large group. --Jessica Moch Bismarck, North Dakota

This is the simplest version of chocolate covered strawberries I know. Paraffin was originally used instead of shortening. Turn the strawberries upside down and insert by the toothpicks into a piece of styrofoam for easy cooling, or simply place them on a sheet of wax paper. White chocolate may be drizzled over the milk chocolate for a fancier look. They are perfect for weddings when decorated with frosting bow ties, bells, butterflies, roses, etc.
